• John F. Kennedy International: New York Airport Car Rental Locations

    At John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, car rental is accomplished at the rental counters located in the arrival centers. There are six major rental agencies present at John F. Kennedy International in New York. 

    Available Agencies

     The following six agencies are in the rental centers at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport:

    • Budget-Advertising themselves as one of the least expensive rental agencies available.
    • Enterprise-Enterprise is the one of the largest rental agencies and as such can offer you one of the largest selections to choose from.
    • Hertz-Hertz is one of the oldest and most trusted rental agencies in the country. For this reason they are the agency used most often by travelers.
    • National-You won’t find the same selection with National at JFK as you will with one of the larger agencies, but the prices you find will be very competitive.
    • Dollar-This is another one of the less expensive rental agencies. You’ll have less choice in what you drive, but you’ll also pay a little less.
    • Avis-Avis is known as the one who tries harder.  Avis has one of the largest selections of cars available. Avis is one of the older and better known rental agencies.

     Where They Are

    You can rent your car from any of the available agencies at the rental counters. These rental counters can be found on the arrivals level of each of the terminals at John F. Kennedy International. The rental counters can usually be found near the baggage carousel in each of the terminals.  If the terminal you arrive in doesn’t have a rental counter, you will need to use one of the available courtesy phones to call your car rental agency of choice.

    Rental and Pick-Up

    Once you’ve completed your rental paperwork, you’ll need to pick up your rental car. You will need to take the Airtrain from main airport to the Federal Circle Station, Station C. Upon arriving at Station C, you will need to take the airport shuttle to the appropriate rental car agency parking lot.

    Drop Off and Depart

    As a departing passenger, you will need to drop off your car at the appropriate rental car parking lot and take the airport bus to the AirTrain Federal Circle Station, Station C. From there, take AirTrain to the terminal that the gate you’re airline’s flight is departing from. You can finish your rental return and proceed to check in and security from there.
