If you are planning to rent a trailer, it is always a good idea to get tow trailer rental insurance. The reason is that while it will raise your daily rate during your towing time, if you run into a problem that your own insurance will not handle, it’s best to have the trailer company itself ready to jump in and handle the problem for you. Your own car insurance policy may cover this type of coverage – but rather than chance it, it is always a good idea to spend the extra money, especially if you are planning a multi-state move or are moving valuable property.
