One of the required maintenance items your car requires is the cleaning of the car battery. This includes removing corrosion and acid residue from the outer case of the battery. It’s important to remove corrosion from the terminals and posts. Another important thing to remember when performing a comprehensive battery cleaning, is to make sure that you don’t allow the tools you use to contact the positive battery terminal and a ground source at the same time. This can destroy tools and a battery. The most important thing to remember is to reconnect the terminals correctly and make sure they are tight.
