The Duralast car battery is a mid quality, mid priced battery for cars and trucks. They also make a deep cycle battery. Since Duralast is an economy brand, and absorbed glass mat type, or gel mat type batteries, are much more expensive than flooded lead acid batteries, any battery made by Duralast, except those that may specifically state otherwise, will all be of the flooded, lead acid type. Duralast batteries are available at most major national auto parts retailers. Duralast ignition, starting and lighting batteries, as well as deep cycle recreational vehicle type batteries will normally cost ten to twenty dollars less than higher quality batteries such as Interstate and Exide.
