Back in 2008, there was talk of the Audi Q5 Diesel coming to the US if the price was reasonable, because at the time, the premium would eat into the profit. It was also stated that the Audi Q5 Hybrid would come to the US market first, as the price is more reasonable and more economical. In November 2010, it was announced that the Hybrid version of the Audi Q5 would, after much long awaited anticipation, be available to the general public in 2012. Therefore, the Audi Q5 Diesel may hit the market in 2013 or 2014 if the price is kept in line. On the other hand, the vehicle may never make it to the US marketplace.
