The minivan safety makes it a popular choice among automobile buyers. Crash tests are done by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety and National Highway Transportation Safety Administration. Based on crash tests, the five safest minivans are the 2010 Honda Odyssey, Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country, and Kia Sedona and Sienna. The Honda Odyssey received five stars in the crash tests. A five star rating is the highest rating that can be achieved. All credit goes to the car’s Electronic Stability System (EBS). The Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country also got five stars. The Kia Sedona and Sienna got five stars in three of the crash tests. All these cars are equipped with high standard safety features.
