  • What are the Most Common New Car Invoice Costs Overlooked?

It’s funny, but there are new car invoice costs in the car buying shuffle. For example, there always seems to be a line referring to the “new car dealer costs”. It is explained away as the “transfer cost” of the car from the dealership to you. This one’s a cost that is likely a deal-breaker for the dealer, as they will insist on it. But how about the shipping cost, or delivery cost, or any warranty costs. Look at the bottom right-hand side of the purchase and sale before you sign, to assure that you aren’t paying extra costs those dealers have anyway. You can likely get the dealer prep cost taken out (they still have to clean it up before you take delivery). In other words, it pays to look carefully at the contract.
