When it comes to the top luxury cars for gas mileage, there are a few options to look at. They may not be the most expensive luxury car, but they do provide the best fuel efficiency in their class.
Audi
Audi has a few different models that are in the tops of the class. First, there is the Audi TT model. This small sports car can get up to 29 miles per gallon on the highway and 21 miles per gallon in the city. This is due to its small 4 cylinder 2 liter engine. The TTS version, which comes as a convertible, gets the same fuel economy. The Audi 3 is also near the TT, getting 28 miles per gallon on the highway, and 21 miles per gallon in the city. There is an upgrade though to get up to 30 miles per gallon with the FrontTrak engine.
BMW
BMW has the top car on the list, the 335. It can get up to 36 miles per gallon on the highway, and 23 miles per gallon in the city. The BMW 128 also gets up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway and 18 miles per gallon in the city.
Lexus
Lexus has a few hybrid models that allow it to achieve great fuel economy. The 250h is the tops for the Lexus models. It can get 34 miles per gallon on the highway, and surprisingly 35 miles per gallon in the city. That is quite rare for a car to get more miles per gallon in the city than the highway.
