• The Most Exotic Cars: 6 Uncommon Vehicles Most People Don’t Know About

A list of the most exotic cars is not an entirely concrete concept. Certainly the most expensive car would fit into that list. The list will probably be different depending on who you ask, though. Asking someone what they think is the best exotic car is very much a subjective thing. There are a number of rare and unusual vehicles out there. These are the kind of cars that make Porsches look as common as Volkswagens.

    1. Bugatti Veyron

Costing 1.7 million dollars, as street legal cars go, this one has the highest price tag of any in 2010. That makes it very exotic. The acceleration on it is also something to marvel about. The Veyron can do 0 to 60 in a little over two and a half seconds. The engine produces more than 1,000 horsepower. The company produces no more than two of these cars per week (and some weeks it’s just one).

    2. Koenigsegg Agera

A Swedish supercar, the 2011 Agera boasts 910 horsepower. Only 16 to 20 are to be produced when the run completes. With a top speed of more than 245 miles per hour, the Agera can do 0 to 62 in just over three seconds. The price hasn’t been announced yet (April of 2010), but you can expect that it won’t be cheap.

    3. Lamborghini Reventón

At late April 2010 exchange rates, the Lamborghini Reventón’s price tag of 1.1 million euros translates to almost one and a half million dollars. It may not be as expensive as the Veyron, but this beauty is limited to a maximum production of 20 cars. While it might not accelerate as quickly as the Veyron, it has a top speed of around 200 miles per hour.

    4. Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Roadster

With a top speed of about 220 miles per hour, this collaboration between Mercedes and McLaren is priced at about half a million dollars. That makes it the lowest priced car on this list. With a production run that is in the hundreds per year, it’s also the most common of them. Of course, you probably won’t see one on the street in your town any time soon.

    5. Pagani Zonda F

Pagani might not have the name recognition of Ferrari, but it is an Italian company producing some exceptional sports cars. Making the trip from 0 to 60 in about three and a half seconds, this car has a top speed of more than 240 miles per hour. The price tag on this one falls somewhere between $650,000 and $700,000. That makes it a bargain compared to most of the other vehicles on the list.

    6. SSC Ultimate Aero

Coming from Shelby Super Cars, you can’t expect anything less than real performance, and this car delivers. With an engine that produces well over 1,200 horsepower, this car can go from 0 to 60 in less than 2.8 seconds. Its top speed is more than 250 miles per hour. An American made car, this one costs about the same amount as the Pagani.

Certainly, others might suggest that different cars make this list. The truth is, you probably won’t find a lot of people who know much about these ultra-exotic cars. Even less people will have seen one in person. That’s what makes them exotic.
