Luxury cars signify a certain lifestyle. The most exotic car is usually one-of-a kind and custom made with special accessories for favored clients. The additional accessories often push the cost of the car into the stratosphere, but customers can and do pay well for these luxuries.
At present, the most expensive car in the market is the Bugatti Veyron that is priced at $1,700,000. The sticker price is further increased by additional accessories that customers can request like the Veyron Linea Vincerò “individualization program” offered in only select locations. This program can push the original power of the car from 987bhp to a mind boggling 1094bhp. The cost of the upgrade can easily push the cost of the car to $2,027,760 and beyond.
The list of most expensive cars in the world also includes the Koenigsegg CCXR that is priced at $2,173,950. This car is listed second on the list of performance exotic cars that have official speeds of 0–62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. The car was also rated as one of the 10 most beautiful cars by Forbes Magazine.
But these are not the only luxury cars that can pull in such prices. In the year 1987, a 1931 Bugatti Royale Kellner Coupe was auctioned for $8,700,000 in a private sale. There are several such limited edition and revamped luxury cars that can easily pull in double the sticker price simply because of their exclusivity. We might not know about all the private sales of luxury cars that manufacturers make directly to favored customers, but the cost of these personalized luxury cars will definitely be much more than the market price.
