The best way to get a Toyota Camry quote would be to either go to your local dealer (Toyota’s website can provide you with a list of dealers near you) or use the “Build and Price” program on Toyota’s site. Also, below there is a general overview of the different Camry trim levels. It is only available as a 4-door sedan. Note that Toyota uses trims and then additional packages. These packages can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars and include all sorts of options. Because of the complexity of the system, the details of these are only touched on here.
The base Toyota Camry starts at just under $20,000. It is available with a 169hp/167lb-ft torque 2.5L I-4 engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. For the price, this car is well-equipped with a plethora of safety features, including ABS, stability control, traction control, LATCH child seat system, DRL, and 7 airbags. Outside, it has projector-beam headlamps, 16” steel wheels, LED tail lamps, and power body-colored side mirrors. Inside, the base Camry features tilt/telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows/locks, AM/FM/CD player with 6 speakers and auxiliary input, and many other things that don’t come on other manufacturer’s base models.
The LE is the next model up, coming in at $22,850, and adds the 6-speed automatic transmission to the 2.5L engine. The 3.5L V6 producing 268hp/248lb-ft. of torque is also made available. This model adds a few more things as standard, such as keyless entry, an upgraded interior, and power driver’s seat. However, more options and packages are made available (upgraded audio, auto-dimming rearview mirror, etc.). These will come at and additional cost, however. The V6 adds a few sporty features as well.
Toyota is bringing a sportier trim to each model in the lineup, generally dubbed as “SE.” This sporty version of the Camry costs about $25,000. Features such as sporty seats, aluminum interior trim, special sport gauges, smoked headlamps, fog lamps, 17” alloy wheels, sport grill, underbody spoilers, and additional rocker panels make this Camry look very fast and sporty. Navigation is also made available in a package.
The top-of-the-line Camry would be the XLE at $27,545 ($30,395 for the V6 with automatic transmission). Standard features include engine immobilizer with alarm system, 16” alloy wheels, auto on/off headlamps, multi-information display, leather/wood trim steering wheel and interior trim, 40/20/40 split rear seat, power passenger seat, Plasmacluster air ionizer system, premium JBL audio system with 8 speakers, auto-dimming rearview mirror, manual rear window sunscreen, and a few other minor things. Fewer options are available, but add about $1,500 to the price.
With a power train similar to the Prius’s, the Camry hybrid provides great mileage numbers. It has a 2.4L I-4 engine and a motor that together produce 187hp and 337lb-ft. of torque. The cost for this is just over $27,000; which also gets you special blue-tint headlamps, eco-drive display, smart-key, special cloth seats, upgraded interior trim, and a few other options on the XLE. Leather is available in a package.
