There is only one case where a salvaged title on a vehicle can be removed, and that is when someone purchases the vehicle, registering it with the state where it will reside. Though, there are stipulations, as this is not automatic in all cases. At that time, the title reverts to a normal title because the reason for the salvage title in the first place has been removed. As an example, let’s say a vehicle is damaged in a flood and it is cleaned up and certainly drivable. For someone, this represents a great opportunity, except that the salvage title must be cleared. You do this once you put it on the road as a “normal car” and the financial institution accepts it for daily use.
