Volkswagen service costs vary depending on the type of service required and the parts needed. The typical oil change cost, which includes oil and filter, runs about $110, including a hefty $84 labor charge. In fact, the largest portion of the service cost is due to labor. A replacement air-filter costs around $20.98, a dust and pollen compartment air-filter costs approximately $16.85, and spark plugs will run $42.40. Labor is charged based on an hourly rate, and broken down by 1/4 hour increments. Labor to replace the air filter or the dust and pollen compartment air filter will add an additional $5 to the cost of the service.
