The mileage figures for the Honda Civic hatchback hybrid is average for vehicles in this category. Delivering an average of 30 mpg overall, 27 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway. The readings for this figure were made on the Sport model of which runs at higher speeds than the base version of the vehicle. It is likely that the base versions of the vehicle will achieve mileage more closely approaching 33 overall because they will either be equipped with the CVT automatic, whose gearing is always optimal. Or, with the standard version of the vehicle whose final gearing is taller than the Sport. This translates into more leisurely performance, but better mileage.
