4WD wheels are available in the same style and designs that other wheels are available in. You can buy them in four, five and six spoke designs, solid centers, and solid centers with holes. The difference between wheels for 2-wheel drive vehicles and 4-wheel drive vehicles lies in the strength of construction and the center hub opening. Because most 4-wheel drive vehicles have large locking hubs for the front wheels, wheels built for 4-wheel drive vehicles must have much larger center hub openings. And because 4-wheel drive vehicles suffer more physical abuse than street only vehicles, these wheels must be built much stronger to handle the abuse.
