Generally speaking, car manufacturer warranties are not transferable, because it is a perk of buying a car from a new owner. However, check the warranty policy of the car you are planning on purchasing, as some manufacturers may allow a transfer if the sale is within x amount of years. Or, while the car is under x mileage, and others may transfer the manufacturer’s warranty for a price. If you cannot get the car manufacturer warranty transferred, then look into extended warranties. These will give you peace of mind and are available for used cars, but read the small print, as they don’t all cover the same things. They may tie you into getting repairs done at one garage.
