There are several “colleges” that advertise automotive repair training, a specialty quite regular on TV. It’s best to give these “diploma mills” a wide berth, because the only people earning money there are the owners. You are certainly not going to get the type of education they promise. The community college system of vocational-technical school often offer complete automotive training courses that are properly taught by dedicated faculty. And, while this example is facetious, if you see “Sam’s Auto College” being advertised as federally accredited, understand that any school that grants a post-high school certificate can be federally accredited. It doesn’t mean they know what they are talking about.
