Where brake pads and installation is concerned, it can be hard to determine what brands are the easiest to install. Generally speaking, brake pads are not as difficult to install as other do-it-yourself repairs. What can complicate installation is the type of car and the accessibility of the brake assembly. Typically, brake pads made by the manufacturers (OEM – original equipment manufacturer) will be the easiest to install versus aftermarket parts. This is due to the OEM making customized parts for their vehicles. Brands like Wagner, Bendix and Duralast are popular brands of pads that are just as easy to install as OEM brake pads.
