    Yes, before filling out an accident settlement form, you must have a collision estimate from an independent adjuster stating how much an accident will cost to repair. An accident settlement agreement makes little sense unless you have one. It should also state whether using aftermarket or original equipment parts is acceptable. The estimate should be flexible enough to cover unseen expenses, such as frame damage that might have occurred, Though, it should also be capped at a figure that all parties agree is fair and equitable. In other words, if you sign an accident agreement form, be sure that it covers all potential expenses and doesn’t leave you short of cash should there be an unforeseen expense. You can be sure that the others involved will be doing the same.
