One great way to dramatically increase the horsepower output of your engine, is to install a high quality stroker kit. The higher the displacement, the more power the engine can make. One way to increase the displacement of your engine is to overbore it, or make the cylinders larger than stock, and installing larger pistons. “Stroking the engine” is another way to increase the displacement. A complete stroker kit includes a crankshaft that is modified to make the piston travel farther in and out of the cylinder, shorter piston connecting rods, the required bearing and nuts/bolts, and sometimes pistons and rings.
