  • Is It Possible to Have Adjustable Coilovers with an Independent Suspension?

Adjustable coilovers are a type of shock absorber that integrates the suspension coil with the shock absorber. The shock absorber has mounting plates on the top and bottom that the coils ride in. This type of shock absorber system was originally designed with the four wheel independent suspension system in mind. This means that coilover shocks are ideal for those with cars with four wheel independent suspensions, or those thinking of converting their suspension to four wheel independent. Using the coilover shock makes it so that the ride stiffness can be adjusted for the particular driving conditions. Again, this is ideal for four wheel independent suspensions.
