Car radio wiring is important if power to the speakers is going to give you the right sound. You will require wire that is either 12- or 16- gauge, and it needs to be free of copper. You need to ask for an OFC wire. The outer covering of the wire needs to be made of a substance that will not be affected by chemicals that are found in the engine, like battery acid and oil. You also need to make sure that the wire won’t rub against anything. So when installing it, make sure anything it has to pass through, like into the engine compartment, has a grommet to slide it though. These grommets can be either plastic or rubber. Install your car radio wiring with care.
