    An engine kill switch is a device that is used to shut down an engine almost instantly. These kill switches are utilized for various applications. One use for the engine kill switch is as an anti-theft device in conjunction with a vehicle’s alarm system. When the vehicle alarm is activated, the kill switch is activated, thus preventing the vehicle from being started. This can be achieved through several mechanisms. With anti-theft systems, the most frequently used method involves the spark plugs. With the spark plug method, the electricity is interrupted to the spark plug, and the engine is prevented from starting.
