When a mechanic talks about suspension geometry, he or she is talking about the components that are used to steer the car. This includes tie rod ends, center links, idler arms, pitman arms, steering gear boxes, and rack and pinion units. If your car has had a performance handling alignment performed or maybe a performance suspension rebuild, chances are the suspension geometry angles aren’t set to factory specifications. In order to set your suspension geometry to factory specifications, you may have to uninstall aftermarket components, or just take the car in and have the technician set the alignment to factory specifications.
