Dyno software will identify what, if any, performance changes can be made to the vehicle’s engine. Some of the changes may be mechanical adjustments, and others may be enhancements from add-on kits. The software will go through an array of simulations that will indicate what the engine’s performance will be after modifications are made. ECU re-flashing may be required if the desired performance attributes can only be obtained by burning a new ECU program to the chip. This is typically a program customization based on the desired attributes. However, installation of an alternate chip may provide the desired results at a cheaper price.
