A custom cold air intake can be installed on a turbo engine, although the benefits are minimal. If you have a turbo engine, you will need to buy a specially designed cold air intake for your particular vehicle. Since the air that is compressed by a turbo is actually hotter than normal air, a cold air intake will not increase performance by much. Cold air intake systems range in price from about $75.00 to over $300 depending on the make and model selected. If you are comfortable working on cars, they are fairly easy to install. If you are uncomfortable working on vehicles, it is best to have a professional install it.
