With the Prestige from Audiovox, car alarm remote programming is done once the alarm system is completely installed in the vehicle and everything is connected. If you have an external source for power, you can temporarily hook the dash mounted LED and the siren to the alarm control unit and the power and ground wires to your external power source. Though, it’s recommended that you program your remote after the alarm is installed in the vehicle. Programming is easy to accomplish by turning on the ignition key, pressing the dash mounted LED the required number of times, and then clicking and holding the correct remote buttons. Your owner’s manual will have complete programming instructions.
