'How much is a Lotus Elise?' is a question asked by many. There are only two models of the Lotus Elise available in the United States; the Elise Base Model and the Elise SC (supercharged) model. The base model, with no options, has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $47,250. Fully loaded, the base Elise MSRP is $55,305. The options selected for this price include the performance value package (Touring Package + Sports Package); limited slip differential; hardtop; and Lotus traction control. The Elise SC MSRP without options is $54,990. The SC outfitted with the same options listed for the base model MSRP is $64,075. Performance of the SC is increased to 218 horsepower (hp) and 8000 rotations/minute (rpm) from the base model at 189 hp and 7800 rpm. Both models are equipped with the same 1.8L 4-cylinder 6-speed manual transmission, although the SC is a supercharged version of this engine.
