2009 Chrysler 300C
“Smooth, quiet operation, tight handling, space, luxury: The Chrysler 300 sedan has it all, at attractive prices. Yet what the 300 has more than anything is bold, appealing styling. ” — New Car Test Drive   See More Reviews

2009 Volvo C70
“To compensate for the lack of a fixed roof, the A- and B-pillars, doors and sills have all been reinforced to defray the force of a collision. Storage areas accompany each seat, and a private locking system allows certain compartments to be locked with the key from the glove compartment. Long objects can be stored in the trunk by opening the ski hatch in the rear seat. The retractable hardtop is supported by a large rear windshield, which provides improved visibility over the original. ” — Cars.com   See More Reviews

2009 Audi S8
“The Audi S8 is an extremely fast, hard-accelerating luxury sedan that exhibits none of the ride and comfort compromises that too often limit the appeal of more hardcore sport sedans, such as Audi's own compact RS 4.” — Forbes   See More Reviews

2009 Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG
“For all its face-distorting thrust, the CL's really amazing attribute is how adroitly it handles a sinuous stretch of back road.” — Car and Driver   See More Reviews

2009 Mercedes-Benz CL600
“The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is that rare animal in the automotive kingdom, a large luxury coupe capable of accommodating two rear passengers in comfort while simultaneously shoving them into their seatbacks with abundant power.” — Edmunds.com   See More Reviews

2009 Bentley Continental GTC

2009 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG
“The sound emanating from the four AMG tailpipes is entirely in concert with this avalanche of power, growing from a melodic burble to a hard snarl as the revs rise. Yet the overall refinement of the car meets the best patrician expectations, and the CL65 rides and shifts smoothly, with interior noise levels that almost belie its colossal performance potential. ” — Car and Driver   See More Reviews
$203,700

2009 Bentley Arnage
“A sport button on the console stiffens the dampers, a relatively simple act that in corners makes the car feel as if it's shed one of its three tons. With it engaged, the Arnage sluiced through one tight corner after another with grace and agility that absolutely belied its size.” — Automobile   See More Reviews

2009 Bentley Azure
“What makes it special are old-world ingredients such as rear-wheel drive, a 6.8-liter twin-turbo OHV V-8, and a bespoke interior.” — Automobile   See More Reviews

2009 Maybach 57
“Virtually every reasonably conceivable luxury is part of the Maybach package. The leather on the seats must come from cows that spent their lives in a spa; the wood veneers decorating the interior seem to come from an enchanted forest; the chrome pieces have the luster of surgical instruments; and all the technology aboard works with serene confidence.” — Edmunds.com   See More Reviews

2009 Maybach 62
“Although the front seats are plenty comfortable, the best place to sit in a Maybach 62 is the backseat. It's a twin bucket arrangement with a console in between that houses a DVD player and a separate CD changer for use in the back, and it even has a refrigerated compartment. Each rear seat offers a wide range of adjustments, and a soft nubuck-upholstered, feather-stuffed pillow is attached to the front of each head restraint.” — Edmunds.com   See More Reviews

How are models ranked?

Autos.com editors have compiled the most extensive rating database on the internet, drawing upon $20 million of automotive research from CarsDirect and Autodata, and summarizing expert opinion from an extensive group of the leading third party sources. Here is a brief overview of how we do it:

Professional Reviews Ranking: Autos.com editors analyze car reviews from a range of magazines and websites, distill each down to a quantifiable ranking and then average those rankings to arrive at the Professional Review Rank.

Other Rankings: Autos.com also ranks vehicles based on criteria such as fuel efficiency, cargo capacity, and comfort and convenience features. You can see some of the data that we have used to rate each vehicle in any given category by expanding the category header on the vehicle detail page. For example, click on the arrow next to "Passenger Space" on the Honda Civic detail page to see the actual measurements for that vehicle's interior. These measurements were stacked up against the interior measurements of all the other vehicles in the compact car segment in order to calculate the Honda Civic's rating in the Passenger Space category. That rating is then used to determine the Honda Civic's overall ranking in the compact car category.
