Floor mats are a common replacement part - usually because they either wear out or the owner wants to upgrade to a better quality one. The three typical types of floor mats are all-weather mats, carpet mats, and rubber mats. Cargo and trunk organizers are also referred to as Interior Parts. These products can help you organize your cargo area to store things such as tools, or maybe just provide a place for groceries.

Steering wheel covers, shift knobs, gauges, and interior mirrors are interior items that are usually added by the vehicle owner because they want to customize their car. Rear view mirrors on the market today may also include a directional compass, or an outside temperature thermometer. There are a number of websites to visit for these items including JC Whitney and eBay Motors. Common aftermarket gauges include speedometers, tachometers, oil pressure gauges, water temperature gauges and fuel level gauges. Steering wheel covers are available in many fabrics and colors, with leather being the most popular. Logo covers are also available.

Navigation systems, GPS devices, and keyless entry/remote start systems make up the third major category of Interior Parts. Navigation systems including GPS devices are now available in stores such as Best Buy and AutoZone . There are also many different kinds of remote start accessory products on the market today. Keyless entry devices are standard equipment on most new cars today, but may be added as long as you have automatic door locks. Although remote start systems are usually optional equipment, upgraded systems are available.

Remember that the term interior parts can refer to a number of different items, including steering wheel covers and shift knobs, OEM parts such as consoles and seats, or aftermarket parts such as navigation systems. So, if you are looking for ways to customize your car, the possibilities are endless.
