The Ford F150 pickup is one of the best selling vehicles in the history of cars, but some enthusiasts though are looking for a little more from their Ford pickups and a great way to do this is by changing the F150 exhaust system.

The goal of changing an F150 exhaust is to reduce the amount of backpressure in an exhaust system. Some falsely believe that backpressure in an exhaust creates torque, but that is not true. The goal of an exhaust system is to get the fastest exhaust gas escape velocity possible.

One way to do this is by installing an aftermarket cat back exhaust system. A cat back is a muffler or a pair of mufflers attached top a pipe that bolts into the exhaust right behind the catalytic converter

Another way to go would be to have aftermarket mufflers welded in place of the factory ones. This is generally a cheaper way to go, but the downside is that the changes are harder to undo.

Each exhaust produces a vastly different sound from one system to the next, so it is important for owners to listen to audio clips and watch videos of the options befo0re buying, in order to ensure that the exhaust matches the owners taste.

Below is a collection of F150 exhaust video clips. Which one sounds best to you?
