Many Porsche Boxster owners choose to personalize their cars with an aftermarket exhaust. By replacing certain parts of the Boxster exhaust system, owners can increase the power of the vehicle, as well as give the car a more aggressive engine note.

The Boxster was released by Porsche in 1996 (as a 1997 model), and has gone through two body styles since then. The first body style ran from 1997 to 2004, while its replacement came out in 2005 and is still being sold today. Enthusiasts often refer to the first body style as a 986, and its successor is often called the 987.

Because of Porsche's reputation as an exotic and expensive car manufacturer, aftermarket parts for the Porsche Boxster will be more expensive than that of more normal cars.

Some people choose to replace the full exhaust including the headers. This is the most complete route, and will yield the most horsepower gains, however, it gets exponentially expensive the more you replace.

It is important for a lot of people to have the right sound and feel for their Porsche Boxster exhaust. Feel free to browse the videos below and get a feel for which exhaust best fits your personal preference.
